My all time fav, as said many times before, is 2Pac. Why? Pretty much for the same reasons as Hellrazor talked about.

Favourite artists lists keep changing but Rakim has been parked there since I got into him in '97.  Then another at the top, The Last Emperor has been there since 2000, can't get enough of him.  I'm going to review his unreleased album in the album review section soon.

If I had to give 5 favorites right now, the others would have to be: Nas, Devin & Em.
