Their are many reasons contracts shouldn't be garunteed, you haven't really listed any.

It's okay to sign with the team who offers the best contract, but then he should at least have the dignity to work for his money. Not play like shit and then saying he doesn't want to return to the team. Talking about biting the hand that feeds you. He should be fucking thankful for being overpaid like that, I'm sure he told them he's gonna work his ass off for them during negotiations. He knew from the beginning that the Raptors are not contending for a title, it's not a shock.

So the fact that players can sign contracts up to 5-7 years with a new team, then start to play like shit and become a locker room issue, all that after coming off of a good contract year leaving their new team no other option other than buying them out or trading for trash, is not a valid reason? Stop being a self-righteous prick, quoting all my sentences 1by1 making it seem like you're tearing my post apart or something.
