--- Quote ---Amar'e Stoudemire is making progress on a five-year, max contract with the Knicks, according to sources. The two sides have the framework of a deal in place.

Stoudemire played for New York head coach Mike D'Antoni through the 07-08 season.

If the Knicks sign a maximum-salary contract with Stoudemire, the team would still possess a second max slot to offer another free agent.

Wonder if it will sway the King.

Oh God........the Knicks are gonna turn into the new Suns.

Consolation prize... Bosh, Yao and Dirk are better.

Well, at least a Top 10 FA is changing teams finally. I'm tired of this "staying put for a max deal" bullshit.

I can see them landing one more guy; none of the huge names, but a pretty decent name; but in the end it won't help.

They will forever suck.
