Luck, and God
Quakaveli:
Hey Doggy 7 is a dift from god to us stoners...rememebr pac's 7 day theory?? Even rastas say that 7 is a holy number for em... ;D
Ant:
Luck is not determined by God. Random "unexplained" occurences have explanations. Just because you don't understand why it occurs doesn't mean its unexplainable.
Life is a very dynamic interaction. Statisically different forms of "luck" are bound to occur to people. Think for a second, one person is highly "lucky" runs around sayings its god its god. But there are at least equally as many "unlucky" occurences as their are "lucky" occurences.
Keep a stats sheet and write down each "unlucky" occurence and each "lucky" one that happens to you.
I'll define good luck as an unexplainable situation that benefits your life, and bad luck as an unexplainable situation that harms your life. Now, there is your realm of knowledge we all possess that allows us to understand situations we encounter. Eventually it is likely that you will encounter a situation that you don't understand which benefits your life. This situation refered to as luck is really just a lack of information.
For example, a man has $20 fall out of his pocket and upon realizing this deems it bad luck until he latter realizes he had a hole in his pocket and understands why the money was lost. You find the $20 and call it good luck, because you don't know about the man with a hole in his pocket. Events like these do not need God's intervention to occur.
You go to the supermarket and are 5 dollars short for your groceries. The cashier pulls out 5 dollars gives it to you. You think its good luck, but you don't know that the cashier just came from sunday mass where the preacher gave an inspiring sermon about giving to those in need whenever possible.
You get in 15 car crashes and never die. The fatality rate for car crashes is 10-1. You think to yourself, god is watching out for me I've survived 15 crashes and the statistical averages say by the tenth one I should be dead. However, you don't know about all the people who die in their first accident to make sure that average sayed around 1 in 10.
Our knowledge of life is quite limited. We can't possibly know everything. It is only logical to assume that eventually we will encounter a situation that helps us but we can't explain it. It doesn't mean god exists, it only means we dont know all the facts.
masta_g3:
yea, i totally agree wit ant since there are also many unlucky people, and that doesnt means that the lack of luck is made by the devil or god
also those $120 you found were from another unlucky guy, and that doesnt means that god wished that he lose that money, cause maybe he needed them more than u
Trauma-san:
Or, it was drug money.
mauzip:
I think it's all luck.
