the purpose of this thread wasnt to turn into a racist thing at all.

and it wasnt to turn into a thread to post up your fav white rappers either.

i posted this cuz mac miller is dope and he is purely hiphop from the beats he uses to the way he dresses to the types of videos he creates.

you cant name anyone else that is bringing dope videos like this, with 90's style beats and rocking the mic like this guy is.

i edited the title because no one was viewing this thread so i knew this title would shock some people and people would actually check him out.

remaking something from the 90s isn't exactly unique. It's cool for what it is, but most rappers are trying to move forward.

Lame.

I like his style and based off the songs posted I'll check out more of him at some point. But what exactly is innovative about this? He sounds like he's trying to remake Nas/AZ's early style, except he's not as good as either of them (he's dope though).

because everything about him is hiphop?

i dunno i just havent seen anyone bring this style in awhile and to me it seems fresh

Because its old. Hip hop has moved on from that era. If a couple rappers want to reuse that style, its cool and all and I'm not knocking them for it. But they aren't bringing anything new to the table like you claimed in your original post. Its like new west rappers rapping over G Funk beats. Can it be dope? Hell yeah, but its not original at all.

Homeboy Sandman is one of the few dudes who doesn't need a beat for me to listen to him. His flow can carry a song

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/F-yxOnHJ5uk" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/F-yxOnHJ5uk</a><a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/APkSQZdDHBA" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/APkSQZdDHBA</a>

And some songs where he goes off

i just think the thread was titled as it was due to the fact that dope white artists are pretty few and far between, i know there are a few but the OP was just pointing out that nowadays there are more and more who are actually immersed in hip hop, from clothing, lifestyle etc etc , and reflect that in the way they rhyme...Mac Miller for example...nobody trying to 'steal' anything lol

rapsodie, what you think of The Good Sun? i havent heard too much of Homeboy Sandman but been bumping the album a lot over the last few weeks, any other material i should check out?

Mac Miller is so dope. :o

Is he signed anywhere?

& Sandman is more boring than Joe Budden, as some of you would make the comparison. :P

Sandman has the realest name in Hip Hop. :D

Dope album. Actually one of my favorites this year. Angels With Dirty Faces is as real as it can get. I love how takes the perspective of the homeless guy AND the guy who doesn't want to give him any change.  If you liked The Good Sun I would recommend his debut album Nourishment.

You can't tell the difference in skill between these two flows?

Seriously, kill yourself. To not like dude is one thing but his flow is obviously superior. But then again I'm not even sure you know what flow it.
