As much as I want Spurs to get far, I doubt they really will. They bought Van De Vaart today to try strengthen their squad, was good they got someone with European experience in. If the other British team get knocked out, no doubt the whole of Britain will support them.

Just a shame Liverpool are not in it. I remember Jose Mouriniho saying, "Liverpool get worse and worse every year". Dude has a point, hope Hodgson can change that around this year.

And imo, Barcelona will win the champions league. David Villa will be unstoppable this year.

Is that their fault?

You can only win the league that you are.

Rangers and Celtic are bigger clubs than most of the ones that you have mentioned that deserve to be in the CL. However they play in a poor league (Scottish) and from next season shall only have club that wins the league in the CL and they shall have to play in the qualifying rounds to get there.

Should they have to do that, while you want 5th in England, Spain, Italy, etc or what if the teams that you mention finish 6th, 7th etc?

The so called 'bigger leagues' get too many places as it is, and with this these leagues get stronger while the smaller leagues lose places and in turn turn into weaker leagues.

The competition has lost its true value and meaning IMO, they have a cheek to call it the 'European Champions League', too many teams aren't champions in it.
