looks like this series is being turned into a series of movies and tv shows
from what's being reported it will be like movie -> season of tv -> movie -> season of tv -> movie
ron howard directing the first movie and season of tv
hopefully this shit is badass and not some wack PG-13 rated shit like alot of the other stephen king adaptations

Hmm, that's interesting. That's going to be tough to do, well I would think. Obviously, hardcore and/or patient fans will easily follow the Movie-TV Show transition but this will be lost with the casual fans...can it still make money like that?

I really like the idea of starting out with a movie and then following it up with a season of a t.v. show and continuing to alternate between movie and t.v. show. Being that "Dark Tower" is a pretty massive story-line this could be a good way of giving adequate time to tell the story. I just wish they would have gone to someone like HBO or Showtime for the t.v. series part, instead of network t.v. because now their content will be restricted by network t.v.'s standards and practices. I'll still check it out though. At least they got Ron Howard to direct the first movie and first season of the show. That goes a long way in convincing me that they're taking the story seriously. Can't wait to hear who they end up casting in this.
