It's like asking why does one get hype over joe budden?  His beats are ass and his song writing talent is rather bland as a whole but I still bump dukes music.

I prefer him on this type compared to say stuff off curtis. 

Tracks like this Strong Enough, Man's World, Smile, Respect It Or Check It, and cuts off T.O.S fit 50.  It's grimey boom-bap to me.

Dope track, wish 50 was more consistent. He was on top of the world & he fell off, what a waste.

He actually put some thought into putting the verses together and as a result comes across as a good cohesive track, that to me is why it's one to listen to.
