Grown in toe nails.

Has anyone ever had this? If so, did you have to undergo surgery to fix it? If so, am I being a pussy about it or are my fears justified?

U just have to cut it out yourself if u have the balls to do it, u have to find some nice sharp thin scissors, slide it under the nail and try to cut it parallel with your toe as deep as you can and pull it out yourself (the part that grown in). Doctor will do the same thing (they call that surgery haha)..

Dude... I have to take 2-3 days of rest after this. There's no way I'm gonna do this myself :P

you never know, you might be okay and not have to go down that route.. (i dont know anyone else who's suffered from it, so thats all i can base it on) but i think the reason my brothers was so drastic was cos he caught an infection in one of them, so surgery was the only choice.. good luck with it tho man!

if you're gonna perform the surgery yourself, put your foot in warm/hot water first it will soften your toenail and will probably mean less pain for you.

And clean yo damn feet.

Surgery? whoa... that's taking it a bit far, or the infection has to be serious.

luv 2 c u suffer.

no really, i woulda thought the best thing would be to cut it frequently and try pranging/digging it out it daily (which can hurt a lot) to try and force it to naturally adjust the angle.

Soften it in hot water (or don't, I didn't but it's certainly a smart thing to do) cut it parallel to the spot where it grew in and pull it out. Disinfect the wound properly for the next days, then you should be fine.
i don´t need any medicate shit im 100 normal.

You gotta be more careful cutting your nails next time, nigga.

If you're gonna do it, have a professional do it. I had a friend remove his own ingrown toenail only to have a severe infection and almost die. Not worth it.

It's supposed to happen the day after tomorrow, but ever since I had a doctor look at it the toe seems to be healing. I'm confused though... should I let a surgeon remove it anyway or should I leave it?
