Sickle cell is overwhelming evidence for evolution. Malaria was wiping out people in Africa and the sickle cell mutation prevents malaria from being effective. Now that mutation is more prevalent in the population. They coevolved to combat malaria. Natural selection at its finest.
That's an indisputable fact. Evolution is a fact. People want to take the idea of "men evolved from primates over the course of billions of years" as the single reason why they won't acknowledge evolution, but they will tell you that the world was created in its present form in a week and that Noah made a boat big enough to hold and maintain every living creature on earth.

We didn't evolve from monkeys.
Adam and Eve were alien travellers stuck in this end of the milky way.
They couldn't live on their failing ship for the rest of their lives so when they found earth they genetically altered their bodies to some thing which resembles primates but with higher intelligence etc.
But because God (The device they used to create their human forms) didn't work properly their were some flaws in us, it couldn't compensate for the inevitable incest of 'humans' which weakened the species. A lot of the knowledge of the species we evolved from was lost because 2 people couldn't possibly hold all the information about them.
