A reggae would be nice....... but another collabo with Saadiq would be even better.

I rather want to hear Book Of David finally. And he should def. do a jazz record one day.

a jazz electronic record, because i think he's not skilled enough to record a jazz album.
he could do a collabo album with terrace martin on the sax over his beats, but its not jazz.
quik is an amazing producer, but he's not musician.

lmao, he truly is a musician just for the simple fact that he can play they keys and guitar very accurate. You can hear his keys and guitar on so many of his early records, especially on everything between "Safe + Sound" and "Under Da Influence". On songs like "Well" he proved that he can work with an orchestra like the L.A. philharmony and you can hear his guitar and key skills on so many instrumental outros of songs, not just on his albums. Just check Suga Free's first record. Take songs like "Dip Da" or "Don't No Suckaz Live Here" for example and tell me this not a musician's work!
Or the stuff he did for 2nd II None.

I agree with the Terrace Martin idea tho, that would be the shit.

Edit: Don't forget the Quik's Grooves...

I'd like to see a video of quik with a guitar, i don't think he can play more than a few chords, and with the keys (for example) fred wreck is better.
Quik is a fantastic producer, but i really doubt he's able to produce a reggae or a jazz album,he's just not skilled enough.

Quik doesn't play the guitar. He has Robert Bacon, and Stan the Guitar Man play the guitar on his songs. Quik's definitely still a musician, though.

A whole album? I don't think so, but a Bombbudd part 3 would be cool.

Well, regardless of whether he plays guitar or not, or if he plays "a little" keys or more than that, whoever is able to work with the LA Philharmony and countless other musicians and who is able to do songs like "Something For The Mood", "One on One", "Let's Get Down", "Medley For A V" or "Dip Da" (just to name a few) is a musician to me.

It's not unreasonable that so many artists claim Quik to be one of the most underrated in the industry ever and cherish his work.

Quik can play the keys.
He can hear instruments and assign a melody to it and structure it (produce) to make a record.
Same thing as Michael Jackson. He didn't play an instrument but abit of the keys and used to play bongos. Yet his credited as one of the greatest musicians ever lived.

Quik should not invest his time and effort into pigeonholing his ideas for a Reggae album. Nor a Jazz album.

Quik is Quik. Versatile and one of the dopest producers from the West Coast.

He is a peacock who needs to fly*
