in a constant state of want

most high, most important

not to get lost in semantics
and treat it like a debate on a campus
but to just feel his presence
cause his blessings are constant
kids pass me tell me Im lucky
a few hustle me for a few dollars
but to me they are scholars
of a wisdom so deep my words lost it
cause you cant put the ocean in a droplet
but the daughters and suns of African sun
live much closer to the source of one
cause its in the soul like a spirit
dont have to listen close to hear it
it was always present yet unseen
in a counterfiet American dream
In which we lose our survival instinct
but I cant complain cause Allah is mercy
had to calm down u wiped the frown up off me
woke me up like mornings coffee
you kids that pass me I dont have much to give
but hey take this and lets share some kind words
and let Allah stand witness
of how all life is interconnected
