It wasn't as bad, but when Inter Milan faced Barcelona in the group stages they didn't really do much.  Tied at home with literally less than 35% of ball possession and then get owned away.

WRONG. barca has been owned last year, not inter.

That's my point.  They faced each other 4 times.  Mourinho's Inter was able to adapt in the Champions League Semi Final, but did poorly against them in the group stages.

^ Exactly. It's way more of a team sport. CR7 was the only player in a Real jersey who 'showed up' to the game. The rest were complete CRAP. Di Maria was especially terrible & Ozil was bad too.

Messi was like 4th or 5th best player on Barca yesterday.

Let's not forget Ronaldo still has more goals    Over the last 2-3 months Ronaldo has been the better player.

Elano is right. You don't have a clue about football....
lol @ Ronaldo is better because he was the best in his team while Messi was the 4th or 5th in his team. Do you have an idea how stupid that sounds?
Ronaldo wasn't good, fact. His pass was brilliant, he tried in the first half, but that's it. Wow, he had 2 freekicks, how amazing and special :o Whereas Messi had alot of good scenes (doesn't matter if Xavi or Iniesta were better).
Messi and Ronaldo could've switched teams and the outcome would've been the same. Messi played in a team that worked, Ronaldo didn't. Messi played better, but it wasn't a miracle since Barca as a whole was on another level and Real was broken.
These Messi/Ronaldo comparisons are stupid anyway, but to say Ronaldo is better than Messi based off this game is incredibly  stupid.

Yeah, Ronaldo has been the better player because he scored 2 or 3 goals more.  ::) Does it really make a difference if you score 13 or 15 goals in the crappy Spanish league, where only 3 or 4 teams are relevant? Messi was injured anyway.

Stop it. Your obsession with Ronaldo is as bad as Nik's with Kobe.

in my defense the only threads that both of us post in are Football related. we all know about your love for Ronaldo; and everyone knows that I (and most Englishmen) dislike him. it's not personal.

i don't agree with that. i won't deny that he is a good player, but for me, he is not the best, not the second, not even the third best player in the world. arguably the top three players in the world all play for the same team.

True, you didn't say he is the best player because of this game... But looking @ the rest of your post, it's clear what you want to express. Why would you come up with Messi otherwise?
Basicially you wanted to downplay Messi's performance and do the opposite with Ronaldo's. That alone is more than funny.
