Half Way home by Bez
(Chorus) Was running fast, cant keep up with time,
Had to leave to find a life that was truly mine,
I became stuck, life aint fun all alone,
I runnin, jumpin, comin, I'm half way home,

(Chorus) Was running fast, cant keep up with time,
Had to leave to find a life that was truly mine,
I became stuck, life aint fun all alone,
I runnin, jumpin, comin, I'm half way home,

The streets was my master, had me pinned down,
At night wer came out and made this our town,
People looked up to me, knew and screamed my name,
Couldent escape this place to find my fortune and fame,
Nationwide violence sweeped the country,
Yet still my parents hugged and loved me,
I tried to fit in, fight for my livin,
I got a bruise on each knuckle for every battle I've been in,
And for what? huh? shit got me no where,
Had me running scared, livin without care,
Parents disowned me, kicked me outter the crib,
Lasts words I still hear find somewhere else to live,
And that I did, but it was not safe,
Clean up the streets was the message but we the scum of this place,
I didnt care no more, sleepin on the floor,
Beggin for money at the swap meat store,
Couldent shed any tears, I was all cried out,
I would always find my dreams I knew that without a doubt,
It was strange cos I was running, but I wasn't gettin close,
Time was flying by me like a holy ghost,
Determinded to get outter this mess, become the best,
But the best wern't the best unless they where blessed,
And that I was'nt so I stop and turned,
Home is the place you can be yourself I learned,
And I'm half way home,

(Chorus) Was running fast, cant keep up with time,
Had to leave to find a life that was truly mine,
I became stuck, life aint fun all alone,
I runnin, jumpin, comin, I'm half way home,

(Chorus) Was running fast, cant keep up with time,
Had to leave to find a life that was truly mine,
I became stuck, life aint fun all alone,
I runnin, jumpin, comin, I'm half way home,

I remember my mothers smile, made me see sense,
I wonder if they kept the white picket fence,
Hope the path gates there, still with the broken lock,
Still hope my parents know my face, prayin they aint forgot,
Considering the years gone by, my face has changed,
From skinny, to fat, but it still holds the pain,
The streets left me with wit, I belive in myself,
Life aint about money its about keeping you health,
Its about bring yourself, doing what you thinks right,
I went through 25 years of hell to finally see the light,
If you got a good home, stay there and be loved,
Cant wait to feel my parents hands around me, being hugged,
What do I tell em, so many stories to reciste,
Cant wait to see my mothers glow, when she sees I'm alrite,
I turn the street, I've made it thanks to my aching feet,
Cant wait for my daddys speical home cooked meat,
Stand before my home, but the fence aint there,
I open the gate and the lock works,
My minds spinnin wild, maybe they just had a change,
Then I hear a soft voice shout see you later babes,
Man walks out my home, I say who the hell are you,
He replies I own this house friend and how do you do,
I asked to him to explain, I wanted my mother,
My parents where gone, but I'd found my brother,
Dam!

THANKS EVERYBODY FOR YOUR COMMENTS MUCH APPRECIATED

Tony O, no the rhyme aint true, I would say it took me about 15-20 mins to write and it aint really about anybody, you will find that with most of my rhyme they aint true, I just kind of put my life in a different perspective. My life is full of nothing but happyness and joy, I just write as if it wasn't. Thanks bud.
