Obviously Bynum injury prone ass is a problem but even if we would trade Melo for Bynum straight up we can say goodbye to the ship ... rebounds and defense win titles ...

Like I said, Bynum isn't the ultimate center or anywhere close. Even though he's shown great fluidity in his offense, we only need him for his defensive presence, and that's replaceable.
Prediction, 'Melo ends the season as a Nugget, this off season, before he can meet with NY to sign as a free agent, the Nuggets and Lakers do a sign and trade, 'Melo to LA for Bynum, Ron Ron and Luke Walton... okay okay, I just threw in Luke Walton.
Winning titles is not about just adding individual talents together ... even if they don't play the same position , we all can agree Melo is a better player than Bynum and it is not even closed but a Lakers team starting with LO at the 4 AND Gasol playing full time at the center position would get killed by Boston (like we were in 2008) , Melo or not ...the main advantage Lakers have over others teams is they are able to start two seven footers in the paint ... it forces the opponent team to defend Gasol with their power forward which is in 99% of the time a mismatch in LA favor ... then we bring a versatile PF (LO ) off the bench for who most of the teams don't have any answer Bynum is physically wearing down the opponent center then we can finish the game with a more versatile combo inside LO/Gasol
