Hey Efrain, one question, did you also remaster some of those songs from Snoops DR Lost Sessions?Would loove to have at least Doggystyle with George Clintin in better quality :-)
Quote from: pill on March 04, 2011, 12:18:11 AMLove what I've heard, Hope you might get around to Snoop's WA release. I wish I could too, I’ve tried. WIDEawake actually mastered that release (by Brian Gardner no less) so nothing can be done. All the songs were sent over to Brian in the same condition we got the LBC Crew album (see aforementioned massive low end, chunky mids, flat highs), the music was essentially fried by the compression they applied at Bernie Gardner Mastering. Think of it like Baking a cake, once you throw it in the oven you can’t go back and tweak the ingredients—its cooked… literally. WIDEawake sent them rough mixes and demos… another epic fail. It was actually the outcry from fans that made WIDEawake (Lara Lavi) master it. How’s that for irony? We demand they master these records, they do, and then they’re worse than they were before! …alas, we can’t win. That album suffered from mixing issues. None of those songs were professionally mixed. In the credits they mention some no-name idiot mixing engineer who did the album. Whoever that guy is—if he’s even real—should be slapped… the guy has no business mixing records. Doggystyle has some of the worst mixing I’ve ever heard, bar-none. It’s so amateurish I can’t even listen to it. It’s unlistenable. As far as I’m concerned that song is still unreleased.
Love what I've heard, Hope you might get around to Snoop's WA release.
