Then explain dre giving beats to 40 glocc and trick-trick lol
I was about to bring up 40 too. I don't think Dre is above working with people. I just think he's reclusive and you need to find your way into his circle.
yep

He's probably writing some verses for consideration for Detox.

Let's be real, I doubt a new Roscoe album comes out with a Dr. Dre beat on it. Dre is about money and the mainstream; so the only way this happens is if Roscoe has the backing of a major label with a major budget or he has a huge investor.

I hope I'm wrong though. Would love to hear some new Roscoe-Dr. Dre music. I just see politics getting in the way.
.  Then explain dre giving beats to 40 glocc and trick-trick lol

Trick Trick probably does extort Em/Dre and 40 Glocc got a throwaway lol

I bet Roscoe wrote "Wet" or "New Year's Eve"

It is true that the instru of "Finer Thangz" is really NOT unforgetable, nor unfuckitable or whatever... More of a miss than a hit!

& If Dre is still on good terms with Kurupt, it def leaves the door open (not wide open, but slightly enough) for baby bro (no disrespect) to sneak his way in!

& Take the likes of Roscoe, Bad Azz, Shade Shiest, Soopafly, E-White, or more recently the Bad Lucc, Damani, or Maylay & Mykestro, they got the skills, talent & potential. They can hold their own, write, rhyme, spit, in the booth & on stage, so tell me, what's missing? What differentiates them from the newcomers who go gold or platinum (or equivalent in digital download)?

I'd say the backing of a major who actually believe in them enough to invest what it takes, & a good part of that is a team of producers delivering hits-in-the-making instrumentals! (It is true Bad Azz, & maybe even Shade or Roscoe did at one point have the proper producers, but maybe not the promo budget that should have went along with it?)

I remember a looong time ago, there was news that Roscoe had been in the studio writing some verses for Detox. Whether or not they actually appear on the album is to be determined.

I mentioned this in the past.. it's been goin down for a while.  8)
Roscoe is gettin hiz publishing up big time..
actually, he wrote the 1st single for a West Legend, that's out right now.

Didn't he write for Puffy in the past too?

I think Roscoe makes a living off of (ghost) writing. I doubt he makes a dime with his own raps, lol

That might explain why his last 2 "digi-albums" were for download only (unfortunately) & why YA's is almost as long delayed as "Detox"!

Id go with snoop, he has been using ghost writers for years.

Both his albums Young Roscoe Philiphornia and I Luv Cali did pretty well, with singles and videos from each album.  Roscoe is dope, just wait for overdose. I have a feeling its going to be released on Young Money or something big. Dont ask my why. Massive if it does.

I consider this more of a mixtape than an album release. I wasn't really feeling it much.

Roscoe is at his best when he constructs a track with 2 or 3 verses, a hook and a bridge. like "Smooth Sailin", "Head to Toe", "Thats wussup" etc.

Just an FYI for the Roscoe fans out there. I have been hitting him up on Twitter. He is working on his next album called "Overdose", and recently has been in the studio with Dr Dre. He even posted a pic on Twitter.

Check @roscoedpg on twitter to stay in touch.

Could be one hell of an album!

Peace

Good news!! Roscoe's a dude I've always wondered what projects he's doing when everything goes quiet. He does a lot of underground shit and hardly ever get's featured on big name tracks. Major talent. Roscoes just a raw rapper. You get the feeling he just raps all day long. No swag bullshit, just born to rap 8) 8) 8)
