I really like quik's old camp. Some of them aren't so great on their own but together quik, hi-c, amg, 2nd ii none, playa hamm, mausberg, and suga free were magic

Sucks he's not fucking with most of them anymore

Anyone know the real story with gangsta d anyway?

I bet he does....it would've been easier to build those relationships while he and the west was still relevant.

I love these Quik interviews. He always drops these little nuggets of knowledge. "The hip-hop game is for the forward thinkers." I like that.

I don't think most of the east coast artists would've fit on Quik's beats. Those who've spit over nothing but grimy beats would've just sounded awkward (M.O.P., DMX, Capone-N-Noreaga etc...). Nas would've been too lyrical for Quik's smooth beats. I'm happy enough with the songs Quik did with Jay-Z and Talib Kweli.

Nas and Quik? I don't think so. But I'd give it a listen.
I had the same feeling with Talib and the Jay-Z joints.
But I wouldn't of worked with the East Coast either at that time.

Quik can work with whoever he wants and he could easily make a beat that would fit any rapper.
