The Touch Funk feat Soopafly - Back 2 The West Coast

Man, G Funk when done right is still the best kind of hip hop there is. A lot of respect for these French guys. They killed it with the beat. And Soopafly with the flow as smooth as can be.  8)

I love G-Funk, but this shit sounds just like the hundreds of other G-Funk songs from the 90's.

G-Funk is 90s music. So something too different wouldn't be G-Funk anymore IMO.

Yeah, Soopafly killed it.  This is a true story....so during the making of this song, Soopafly was supposed to take the first verse, then another rapper was supposed to take the second verse.  Well Soopafly did his verse and it came out so smooth that everyone was just in so much awe, no one knew what to do.  The other rapper that was in the booth with Fly was just sitting there with his jaw dropped.  When it was time for him to drop his second verse, he was speechless.  They producer was like "come on, come on, start rapping!" but he couldn't do it.  So Fly jumped back in with the chorus to save the dude.  They didn't even bother trying to do a third verse because they knew no one could top Fly's verse, they just ended the song right then and there.  That's why the song is only one Soopafly verse and then a long instrumental, then Fly's chorus again.  Supposedly Soopafly left with the other rapper's ho too and took her back to America.  I don't know if that part is true or not, but the rest is.
