Lol this is obviously something you wrote.

For starters its very poorly written. One of the problems with your essay is that you make assumptions about Cube that just aren't true. For instance, you assume he has tried to hide where he went to school or that he went to college. These are known facts that Cube has talked about in interviews. Also you assume he claims credit for coming up with gangsta rap when in fact he has given credit to his predecessors. Essentially your "exposures" aren't exposures at all.

Another tip for writing a persuasive piece: find a topic and stick with it. Your article doesn't have a focus and is all over the place. First you talk about his schooling and how he can't be a real gangster. Then you talk about the New West vs. Ice Cube. Then you talk about violence in his music (completely ignoring the lyrical content of the new west rappers you just praised a paragraph ago btw). Then you talk about the racism in his music. Then you say he is trying to convert kids to Islam. Then you go through every rapper he has beefed with? And you end with saying he doesn't sell anymore and his time is up in music. What exactly is the point of this article? All you're really saying is "I don't like Ice Cube, he's a bad guy and I'm going to think of every bad thing I can say about him." It's a child's argument.

Man I Gotta go out on a LIMB with this one hate what you want but I'm gonna say ICE-T is the originator of gangsta rap. Ice-T him self only says Scooly D was because he bit that "PSK" track and flipped it to a gangsta track "6 in the morning" then Ice Cube bit Ice-T making it "Boyz In The Hood"..... It's just my opinion so please no haters talking shit....

Here is all three tracks and lemme ask this question. Which ones would you consider gangster rap!

what's your definition of gangsta rap?

Quote
Clinton Road one Saturday night
Towin on a cheeba I was feelin alright
Then my homie-homie called me on the phone
His name is Chief Keith, but we call him Bone
Told me 'bout this party on the Southside
Copped my pistols, jumped into the ride
Got at the bar, copped some flack
Copped some cheeba-cheeba, it wasn't wack
Got to the place, and who did I see
A sucker-ass nigga tryin to sound like me
Put my pistol up against his head
I said, "Sucker-ass nigga, I should shoot you dead"
A thought ran across my educated mind
Said, man, Schoolly D ain't doin no time
Grabbed the microphone and I started to talk
Sucker-ass nigga, man, he started to walk

That's not an answer. I'm asking what makes a song "gangsta." Violent content? Or actually talking about a gang? N.W.A didn't really talk about gangs all that much.

Does his music teach to stay in school? No, as you will see this former child star has an agenda that is far beyond that.

Hatin' or not, most of the shit he said is true though.
that he's not a gangbanger is true, ice cube is honest about that.
i fail to see how ice cube got 'exposed' in this article
