Fedor Released from Strikeforce
Sikoticâ„¢:
The mismatches can be entertaining to watch though and they allow you to see what a fighter has to offer. I don't mind them as long as they lead to a stronger opponent eventually.

Honestly I like UFC's model vs boxing. I've been following boxing for nearly 15 years and it's such a joke. I almost wish the government would step in at this point.

The hype around UFC and MMA is already starting to fade and I don't expect it to last much longer as a cash cow. They simply don't have any stars you can put on cereal boxes, and they do a terrible job creating stars. Eventually someone is going to figure out that you need to feed bums to a guy for a dozen or so fights to make him look like a star and then pit him against another credible fighter, and if all else fails you have to start fixing fights.
And fuck this it's real fighting crap; it's not, and it's not all that great of a legit sport either. In a real fight it's anything goes, and in a real sport it's got more on art to it. So let's just make it more fun tpo watch and make some actual household name stars.

But you aren't the desired market, and neither am I. I remember watching Shamrock vs Severn, live, back in the 90s, and eventhough it was the most boring piece of shit ever my eyes were glued to the screen. For the record I don't prfer anything these days, but if you want to make money for a longer period of time you have to build more hype and bigger stars.
