.... dude, just because he doesnt have a million followers on twitter doesnt mean people know them, hes known, u ask an average person in a major cityh, nyc, LA, etc etc theyll know who j cole is. white boys / bitches will buy that song. j cole is known he'll sell, especially to school kids.

A major city, and one in the U.S.? He has to be known to even the poorest village in Africa in order for him to even dream of moving as many units as Drake or Nicki Minaj.
Okay, maybe that's going a bit too overboard. But if he's known only in the major cities (and only by name rather than for his songs) it doesn't seem like dude has much of a buzz IMO.

wiz khalifa was barely anything till black and yellow.  and he does have work out getting radio play in power and kiss fm

That's what I mean, J. Cole needs a song that'll make him a overnight celebrity. Wiz Khalifa's album managed to sell as much as it did because everyone and their grandma knew about B&Y. Same with B.o.B.'s Nothin' On You, Drake's Best I Ever Had and Dirty Money's I'm Coming Home. Even if the people only knew like one song off the whole album the average consumer'll be like "I heard that on the radio" or "my friend was listening to that" or "everyone's listening to that" and check Cole's shit out.
If dude can release even one single that'll make it to the Billboard Top 10, those who only buy whatever's on the charts will buy Cole's album and with his fanbase and a handful of casual listeners picked up along the way he'll could probably go at least Gold.
Eventually that one single that's dominating the U.S. air waves will cross the ocean to the rest of the world, and since countries like Britain, Japan, Korea and Russia literaly eat up whatever's hot in the U.S., they'll drive the album 's success further.
But does Cole have that single that's sweeping the nation? No he doesn't.
If he's not blowing up like hell in the U.S., he'll be ignored by the rest of the world and his album'll fail to meet the amount of success it should.

So I literally don't know how J. Cole's buzz is doing over in the U.S., but judging from how he hasn't reached the rest of the world yet he still hasn't gotten his name out there any further since Warm Up dropped...

Well I'll trust your word on how he's doing in the U.S. but as far as I can figure he still doesn't have a single (a chart topping no. 1 hit single anyway), so I'm guessing his success will be limited to the U.S....
