Author Topic: Does anyone have the original pressings of The Chronic or Doggystyle?  (Read 279 times)

I want someone to compare the albums sonically. The thought of Dre's mixing being tampered with makes me think the "enhanced" versions I own aren't true to the original sound. Are the originals hard to find?

I only have the OG cassette of it... I bought the CD later :(  It sucked being a broke kid at the time.  I wish I could've copped all the Death Row albums and singles right then and there.

I have the originals of both.  Now i'm not an expert in mixing or anyting, all i can tell you is what i hear with my untrained ear. And the originals sound muffled and stuff and the enhanced versions sound better and more crisp to me. The WideAwake version of the Chronic sounds better than the original to me as far as sound quality goes.

I have the original of both. Never bothered listening to the numerous re-releases.

But I did notice the sound quality on that Snoop Dogg's greatest hits was a lot crispier.
