As I sit back and watch Virginia dominate the game for the past few years and probably will continue to see the same thing or something reminiscent of it for the next couple more and maybe so on. As I listen to Freddie Gibbs drop notable Hip Hop music and sit in awe as Gucci Mane/Zaytoven/V-Nasty drop a collective album "BAyTL" I'm eagerly anticipating the next generation of superstarts!
There's a rise of talent coming from outta areas that never really got any shine before like Alabama, white people, Real Murderers and Drug Kingpins. REAL Pedofiles, rapists, cannibals, and Canadians. Black pop stars, classic 80's and 90's remakes that stemmed from the 60's and 70's, niggaz getting endless amount of chances and it's not a bad thing. Of course most of this stuff existed before but it's crystalized now and some of it's still bubbling. It's going thru evolution all of the time like from monkey to man and we're still gorillaz lol! We're just smart gorillaz and this is still and has always been Planet of The Apes!
I have faith in the next class of lil' homies about to get on that stage. Look and listen to what's been coming out these past couple years and how the music (and entertainment) has completely evolved into something that the Early 2000's WERE NOT and that The 90's COULD NEVER BE! (had to syse it).
I think Up North is on a verge of a Second Coming (for Generation X and Baby Boomers) as far as 90's-11 is concerned. We're at a time in society, WE (and I mean MY generation) have Our Own face and Blood in this game now and it's/that's something the world HAS TO respect!
But don't get it twisted tho, there's still some very vital components and elements missing in the game. And while I'm on it I wanna add that at the same time that I have this faith I have a concern. There's a void or two in the game. It's available but it's not in it's right platform nor in it's right environment. 1 particular thing that needs fixing is the WideAwaking of Mixtapes. Alot of mixtapes have shitty quality, songs are usually missing some/alot of their low-end and maybe even on top of that they have too much "top half".
But then there will always be that god awful 'wanna-be' rapper and producer that really just get in tha way of all of the good shit and make a mess of everything but that has always been around. We just need to tighten up on damage control a little bit. In Hip Hop's defense it's gotten better with that recently. Things like this are also inevitable.
And, like, I don't mind some white rappers but they need to be trying to tear each other's heads off and show that they're down. There's NO competition between them, only between them and us which I encourage but they need to actually prove themselves worthy of this game before they just plop their asses on stage and take some of this money that was built off blood, sweat, tears, fears, over years and years [this is something that you can't put a price on]. Honestly, just earn your keep and everything will be fine.

real life subliminals and cheapshots [metaphors] should be encouraged. i'm proud of the unity that's been accruing over the years but Future should take a shot at Drake in the same context that Wayne used when he was gettin at Jay on "Tha Carter IV". I think things like those are merited. Like for example the whole Ross/Jeezy situation.
I think Jeezy was right in his intentions on questioning the shit, he just went about it the wrong way (taking something away that people love/attached to is a hard thing to do, word to Eazy E). But at the same time I was glad Ross was glorifying Black Gangsters instead of old/dead Italian Mobsters and it was about time it was done (Tha DPGC and Jay Z too).
What Ross did needed to be done and tha fact that it's a classic song is the icing on the cake. Nonetheless situations like these are what a REAL situation is about. I wouldn't invest too much stock in the whole Future/Drake thing but if he rolled up on Drake with some of his homies and smacked Drake on camera and put it on youtube I wouldn't be mad lol.
I feel so good about this generation coming up next that I feel good about the generation after that. I think all of these true to life artists and musical acrobats blended with society and the rest of Hollywood to New York City.
