What shows would you take off the air if you had the power to?

None of them are fully formed characters, they're all one note jokes that got tired after the fourth season. That's the difference between simpsons and family guy. Simpsons had amazing secondary characters and was still funny for over ten seasons. The humor in family guy now just isn't well written, using shock value as a complete crutch.

I would agree a great deal with this. Though I think Simpsons seemed to go similar route with its characters in the later years. Instead of being the annoyingly perfect neighbor, Flanders is now just the super-religious guy. Moe used to be the resident dirt bag, now it's more about how depressed/suicidal it is. The joke of Sideshow Mel being this great dramatic thesbian stuck being a TV clown's punching bag has also kind of turned into him being this guy who speaks out as a wacky voice in the angry mob of Springfield residents. They were actually all pretty amusing characters in their conception but are now kind of written as throwaway jokes where somebody like Quagmier, Mort the Jewish guy, and the Perverted Man on "Family Guy" have always sort of just been one-note characters designed for specific jokes.
I think "Simpsons" most shows its age when it does technology or pop culture jokes. It was really on the money in the 90's when it did stuff like the Poochie episode or the one where Homer realizes he's out of touch with modern music. By contrast, their jokes about the Internet or I-Pods or "Mapple" are really just so contrived. Family Guy can occasionally get the humor right but they don't have strong story structure. I think South Park probably works the best in terms of staying relevant in terms of funny commentary while actually writing a story. "Simpsons" at its strongest, was the most brilliantly-written animated series of all-time.

Scrubs - It's a show written by and for geeks and other nerds out there who find gay sarcasim funny. People (IE: 4 year old little boys) who find toilet humour funny would also enjoy this show...
The main character is a big geek, his female friend is a big geek, and so is majority of people who watch it

what's wrong with geek humor though ? and what's wrong with being a nerd or a geek ?

Nothing's wrong with either of them, however, when a show is put up on a pedestal as being this humorously fabulous show, and the greatest thing since sliced bread eating up a lot of air time, stopping, starting, cancelling, being remade and so on, it get's annoying after a while, especially when there are plenty of more worthy shows out there who could use all the air time and ad time it gets.
Trust me, I've tried to like this, I've tried to watch episodes of various series's to see the humour, but all I see are weak sarcasm put forward as comedy, and cheesy dialogue. A lot of people I know can't see it either. I know people who love the show, and they tend to be nerds, which is fine if it's a show on at 3am, or somewhere on an intertnet station in a dark corner somewhere
