i bump this already and as usual album is full of uninspiring generic g-funk beats which becomes one long track after 2 spins, but well didnt expect anything else from AK

more french g-funk? i can't say i really know many of the french artists and there seem to be quite a lot of them. got into DJ AK because of the emphasis on talkbox, English language rappers on some of the tracks and heavily Zapp inspired sound. each to their own but i really enjoy the productions.

but if it's funky and sounds good then i'm always down. shoot some samples/links 8) or if there's a thread on here already...

hahah that what i have suspected and i can tell u missing big time on this album :P
yep they are french producers and the PLAYTIME is compilation with rappers like  GOLDIE LOC, BAD AZZ, BIG PRODEJE, LV, LATOIYA WILLIAMS, KOKANE, DADDY V, 5 FOOTAZ, FOESUM

sample tracks from album:

and website to order cd if u like it: http://www.vs-prod.com/shop.html

they released other album too:
Venom & Sovan - 15 Ans D'Retard

and Sovan doing lots of beats from west coast cats

so for me The Playtime is like should sounds g-funk nowadays  ;)

i'll give the whole album a spin later and drop my thoughts. the samples sound good, but a large reason as to why i'm feeling AK's production so much is the strong Zapp/electronic influence in the music.
