i mean arenas isn't the "nigga" on the team no more. but that doesnt mean he can't be a quality starter.
if he comes kobe will put him on check, he'll be told his role by the FO in the discussions, kobe is going to ball handle a lot, but he is gonna handle the ball too, esp when kobe isn't on the floor.
now we have another guard that can penetrate and shoot. it should be good. I DO NOT WANT SESSIONS.
is it possible to get both? smith and arenas? i mean if we do sign arenas its for the vets min right? so it means we still have a chance to swoop up on deron.

Perhaps just as important, Arenas, 30, has Bryant's personal stamp of approval. Bryant reached out to Arenas recently through an intermediary to let him know he's on board with Arenas joining the Lakers. It isn't clear whether Arenas will show Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak what he needs to see to take a chance on the three-time All-Star, but one person with knowledge of the team's strategy said the Lakers may not have the complete answer until they see Arenas in actual game action. Bryant has reached out to other players this way, most notably Metta World Peace -- back when his name was Ron Artest and the Lakers signed him in 2009.

I'm eager to see this. I'm not saying this to be funny.. I honestly think it could be interesting to see 2 huge egos who want to jack up crazy shots collide.

pretty sure Gilbert is past the stage of jackin up crazy shot...... if he's not, Kobe will put him in check.
