Titans probably would have paid the same. That's what makes this SO confusing.

I'll take the young Bronco defense over the Titans D any day.
The only thing that the Titans offered him was a MUCH, much better running back & better WR core. Which Peyton proved for ten years, he doesn't really need. Just a shutdown defense.
