1. Taft is a nice school, my boy used to play on the basketball team there and I have a few young homies that went there.  Now there was a small gang element there with the Pacoima Pirus and some other cats and a few riots and shootings.  But that school isn't fucking with any school in the city of Los Angeles on any kind of being a fucked up school.  Taft has nothing on LA High, Crenshaw, Locke, Freemont, Rosevelt, Garfield, etc.  Parents wanted there kids in schools like Taft, El Camino, LACES, etc because they were safer and better then the majority of schools in Los Angeles.

2. It doesn't matter what social class you come from, if you are black you are going to be discriminated against and people are going to be afraid of you.  I got harrassed everyday by the police in my old neighborhood.  When I owned a Monte Carlo the police would literally pull me over daily to see if they could catch me or the homies with anything.  I have been living where I live now for about 6 years and the white folks and asians are still scared to get in the elevator with me.  Still wont speak to me and still try to avoid and get scared when they see me.  The people at 7/11 still watch me everytime I walk and the security follows me at any kind of store I have ever went into.  So cut out all that bullshit about blacks not getting harassed cause you sound stupid.

3. African Americans do no have a culture, that was taken from us when we were brought here on boats.  Black Culture in the USA is American culture, there is no way to act "black", people act by there enviornment.  There is a whiteboy and an asian from my hood that acts just like me an the homies.  Doesn't mean that they are not white and asian, they just act like their enviornment and cant help it.  I had a black homie that went to beverly hills high, he never had any black friends till he started kicking it with me and my boys.  He is a little white washed but does that make him any less black?  He still has to deal with the same shit I have to deal with everyday being black.

1.very true.. Taft is not a horrible school by any means, but it is diverse. It's not considered one of the nicer schools in the sfv ala el camino, though. Not as bad as Garfield, but definitely not as good as el camino.. I'd put it somewhere in between. 

2.that makes sense, but I'd say there's a big difference between how black peeps like tiger woods and black peeps like allen iverson get treated. Especially if ur from somewhere like LA where almost every one is a different race. Like I said, a lot of it has to do with how u carry urself, as well
