One thing that would help is when people make thread titles with links to singles by new acts/young west coast artists, put the type of subgenre of Westcoast music it is.  Backpacking Westcoast, pop sounding, throwback sounding, etc.  When I see threads like "{Audio} So and so's new single - "SONG TITLE HERE""  -- This thread title gives me no impression what kind of music it is, and I don't even bother to click on the thread to listen to the music.  People who post their music here have to hold me by the hand and guide me to their music if they want me to give it the time of day.  I know that sounds corny, but in the age of fragmented online listening, we need guideposts to help listeners find the music they might like.

For example, I really love Dom Kennedy's music now, but I didn't even know about dude until I happened by chance to see one of his producers point out in one of the threads the fact that he makes classic-sounding G-Funk, which is the style I like.  Otherwise, I still probably wouldn't even know about him.

Some of you guys are mentioning artists I've never heard of before, and sorry but I'm not going to go out of my way to listen to their music without a helping hand to key me in on whether it's worth my time to go out of my way to listen to their music.

This is all to say, please, mods and/or people promoting new acts and links to audio tracks and so forth, PLEASE provide guidance and DON"T just simply drop the track like a turd and expect to get a lot of views/listens.  It doesn't work like that anymore.  Back in the day, whatever videos BET and MTV aired is what we were forced to be exposed to, but these days when we pick and chose the music we expose ourselves to, we need to be guided to new music.  BE PROACTIVE!
"Detox" is a myth -- Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 51, Iraq having WMD, Detox...you get it now?  It was invented by the Aftermath marketing department to maintain the fans' attention.  Notice how everytime a new Aftermath album is ready to come out, they always mention Detox is next up?  Because they are using the invention of "Detox" as a way to market other albums.  The sooner you realize that Detox is NOT REAL, the sooner you'll feel liberated.  Oh yeah, f.u. Aftermath for fooling us fans.
