This is a person who wants to compare himself to rich, succesful, black businessmen when the only part of the equation he shares is the "black" part. It's sad that only Caucasians can bRing up race.  I tried to read the review on CNN yesterday about "Think Like A Man" and 2 sentences in the White guy's like "...follow a group of mostly African American men..." and as soon as I read that I got the message.  Why couldn't they have left out the "African American" part?  But it's CNN/the News and they always fuck shit up so I have to be the "correct" one whenever I mention Race/Ethnicity while the rest of the world gets a pass.

Hey I actually agree with u on that, and it's a great point. Why in the fuck do they have to even say African American, or white in the first place? That right there is a perfect example of how the media propagates racism. Even if it's a positive story, constantly harping on race propagates racism because it reinforces that it's acceptable to categorize people based on race.

Like when they say "1st black prez" "1st black Oscar winner" etc...that's racist! Why can't they just be the next prez or next Oscar winner? Race is an issue almost entirely because the media is constantly making it an issue, and that is by design to keep people suppressed.

And that's what they're trying to do with trayvon Martin, trying to instigate racial divide because that keeps our eyes off the powers that be, and against each other. We can't fall for those bullshit games anymore.

But see your using the media as a basis for how the world operates and to me, that's flimsy as hell. If you move around enough and see enough of the real world, you'll see all that stuff is IMAGE. Television, whether movies, TV shows, or so-called "reality TV" or news documentaries, aren't ever going to give you the real story. Racism is absolutetly a topic that needs to be addressed but it needs to be moved past the bigotry level and looked at for what it is.

What exactly do you mean by "doing the right thing"? Helping an old lady cross the street? Getting good grades in school? Saying no to drugs? Throwing a trash barrel through Sal's Pizzaria? its crazy you say that i read a not intentionally racist review of that movie yesterday too...it had very subtle undertones of racism but not like that clan racism it was that grew up sheltered aint never been through shit so i cant relate to shit type of racism.
