« on: May 08, 2012, 09:58:26 AM »
DMX has announced the release of a free EP titled The Weigh In, scheduled for release on May 15th.

According to DMX's publicist, Dark Man X will drop the 10-track EP as a teaser for his comeback album Undisputed, due June 26th. The EP is set to feature guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Tyrese, while Lil Wayne will pop up on an interlude. Production on the EP comes courtesy of Dame Grease, Fredwreck and Rich Kidd.

The EP comes in anticipation of Undisputed, which is set to feature guest appearances from Busta Rhymes, Tyrese and Jennifer Hudson, as well as production from Deezle and Swizz Beatz.

DMX is not what he used to be, but it'll be cool to hear a song wit Snoop and X, prod by Fredwreck.

i remember that Snoop was meant to record a song wit DMX for "No Limit Top Dogg" back in 1999

The double album is mostly recycled stuff from the Bo Dog days I believe. David Michery, the guy involved with Nate Dogg shit, has the album under his label. And the label has been flip flopping distributors left and right. Basically, the guy is using it to sell rights and acquire rights to music catalogs. The song produced by J.R. Rotem was a recycled beat that Zack Katz wouldn't give clearance too knowing it was already used for Clyde Carson and Game. The DMX lyrics were from "Y'all N*ggaz", and I've heard that song remixed three times. The E.P. is really a way to buy time until they get a good distribution a deal. That or Michery is fucking off the money. Who knows?  8)
