You have to try this Pete Rock stuff! His "solo" LP Soul Survivor is another great Pete Rock album, it's got a lot of guestspots, Method Man, Kurupt, MC Eiht, Big Pun, Kool G Rap and a lot more.

The gem of all of them is the first EP All Souled Out it's only 6 tracks and one's a remix but they are all dope.  I can't believe I just got this last year.

i got Soul Survivor and his "bbe beat generation" release.. i've got the 1st edition of that, they removed a track and put a new one on for the release thats in stores now.
