I gotta agree with Immortal Tech, cricket is hardly unmanly. If you want to go up against a lump of leather travelling at over 100 mph (Shoaib!), with hardly any protection, you're a cricketer. In the 1932/33 Ashes (England vs Australia), several players were knocked unconscious whilst batting against England's controversial bodyline tactics.

And just yesterday, Ramnaresh Sarwan, a West Indian batsman, was concussed, even with a helmet, by a ball travelling at 90mph sent by a medium fast bowler, Dilhara Fernando of Sri Lanka.

And fielding is no picnic either. Imagine a 90mph ball being given extra speed by a man with a big lump of wood hitting, and it travelling towards you...And you have to catch it...And you have no protection whatsoever.

I-Bo, anytime you're in England or Holland, go play some cricket. See if it's unmanly and girlish then.
