and moby dick was easily the most talented out of bbtp  as i understand it dude was the only guy in the click that could read music.

well it depends if you consider K-Lou a member of BTTP or not, cause dude was in a funk band in the early 80's (just like Khayree or say Sam Bostic) so I think he can read music even though there are funk artists that cannot really read music (like Shorty B.). i'm not gonna lie Mo B. Dick is my favorite but K-Lou was underrated as fuck. dude is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer.

i fuck with UNLV, Mannie Fesh and some old B.G. but other then that i could care less about Cash Money, but i do respect their hustle and the fact that they got a P&D deal. Dre, Suge, Puffy, Eazy, Jay-Z etc etc all claim to be great businessmen yet none of them have ever owned their product, but Baby and Slim owns their music in every way you can. they own their masters, they get 75% of the royalties and 50% of the publishing, now that´s boss shit.

i´d take MAC, Mystikal, Fiend and KLC over Cash Money anytime.

mystikal's situation can be compared to Young Bleed's or the Ghetto Twiins's... when P relocated to NO he snatched a few local artists from the hottest labels around that were not Cash Money (i.e. Big Boy) but as you put it Petey, their association was somehow short lived.

I think Soulja Slim made his dent as an NL artist. the question needs to be asked about Curren$y though... neither labels propelled him to rap stardom but I think his bigger break came with his 504 boyz stint.

why would anyone count Soulja Slim as a CM artist when he never had a deal with them? just cause he appeared on a couple of releases? shit in that case MAC´s a CM artist aswell.

slim actually had alot of input at cash money initially, hes responsible for bringing alot of there first wave of rappers through them offices in the early days. if i remember it correctly he did a bid and when he came out nl was on and he was rolling with them.

he said he was never offered a proper contract at cash money.
