Also, hard copies will always still be available for the hardcore fans and collectors such as yourself, but it will make no sense for a label to press up thousands of CD's. No, they will only press up as many CD's as they get order from the fans who want a collectors item.

That's all I need them to do, think about what fans want & how they wanna buy their music, of course there's no more need to press millions, just like vinyl records, but they do need to press a few hundreds or thousands & if the rest, the younger ones who weren't even born before smartphones, have them payloads for them, that's fine with me!

& who in the hell would pay for a download link? Fuck them payloads. You pay almost as much or as much as you would for a hard copy except you have NOTHING in your hands. & If you wanna burn it you have to buy the cd-r & the special paper onto which to print the covers & so on top of what you already paid for the mp3!
Now do people really are THAT stupid?

I'm sorry but this is a very outdated and ancient mentality. Everything music related happens on phones and computers now, I'd much rather pay 9 bucks, have the album with artwork on my phone, which I'm going to use to listen to the music in my car, on my stereo at home or at the gym, than paying 15 bucks for a CD, that I have to put on my computer, rip to MP3 and then load to my phone or ipod or whatever, and risk the CD being scratches etc etc.

Either way, both paid downloads and CDs are going to be gone in a few years anyway, because streaming will replace everything. Services like Spotify and Deezer make the idea of OWNING music totally irrelevant. What we will be paying for is the ACCESS to the music, anywhere at anytime, for ex. 10 bucks per month for Spotify, with which you can stream and listen to any song any where any time no matter what.

Just my 2 cents.

might be, but frankly, that's not my dream or wish or idea of what I'd want for me but for everyone who likes to think by themselves & choose their own shit rather than have their tastes imposed on them by some big brother companies. cause them deezerz & them care about the "big" names pushed by "big" companies, NOT by brand new artists with no label back-up, or all the "underground" scenes, rap, rock, punk, metal, all the undergrounds cause they'll see no money there.
& only the "big" artists will be paid those with millions of listens, not the other ones.
no, not my thing.

Also not only does buying music (whatever the format) support the artist, even more so with indipendant ....but buying CDs from your local store for a couple extra $$ will help stop independent/specialist music stores going out of business

Not specifically, I said you're a leech.

These artists and their hard work occupy every spare minute of every day of your life.....but you don't give anything back apart from your autistic typed lists.

Go pester people you think might have bought it by PM (and make threats if they don't respond) ...thats your usual style
