and you could be dope and still sell albums like The Chronic and Doggystyle, while people like Ice Cube went platinum with barely any radio play......damn rap is gettin so fucked

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.

well i remember i just used to listen to what was good, that used to be anything, rock n shit, but now radio n shit, seem to butcher all the goods songs that artists come out with, like Lay Low - Snoop dogg, they fucked that song up, i was so pissed when i heard the edit on the radio, i usually bumb all the songs before they even come out on radio or mtv, but as soon as they do, the artists sales go up, and then the cd becomes played out.

so i like to listen to people who make some tight muzak but there not like triple platinum n shit.

Also, at the time, shit like Ice Cube and Dre and Snoop, was a new sound, something fresh... it was rap with a gangsta persona. Now however... everyone is rapping about gangsta shit, so it's nothing new.  We can thank the west for that sound... new shit sells... old shit doesn't... change the game, the game dont wait
