When it comes to havin' the greatest or the best discography in the West Coast, Dr. Dre can't be fucked with. "The Chronic" and "2001", 'nuff said. Who are other West Coast artists that haven't really released weak albums? Cypress Hill is the first that came to my mind. "Rise Up" was fuckin horrible though, but it's their one and only wack album (for now) in my honest opinion. Oh yeah, DJ Muggs is one of the most underrated producers ever.

Good thread.

Agree bout Muggs.

I'm just gonna say dudes I respect:

Dre (on albums alone)

The D.O.C.

DJ Quik

Rage & RBX (tho I don't expect too much from RBX output now. He's a team player tho)

DPG (yeah still, because the independent hustle don't count to me) only Cali Is Active is a weak mainstream album.

Nate Dogg never lost his edge. RIP

DJ Pooh quit at a good time. Great résumé.

WC never lost it as a bomb MC. His albums don't matter to me so much.

Kam still can bring it

Same for Eiht (tho I'm not really a fan)

E-40, Yo-Yo, Eastsidaz

Ice Cube later stuff lost its weighty edge but his early days stuff is untouchable and will never lose classic status

Roscoe (and he's one of the most underrated artists in the business)

DJ Crazy Toones could be up there with Muggs, he needs to do more (seriously)

For albums I'm gonna say N.W.A., Dr. Dre, Quik, & The D.O.C. (I don't give a fuck D.O.C. ain't really West) tho I don't think anyone can truly have a flawless discography. Dre went for it in the early days but to be honest that kind of pressure he put himself under just burnt himself out real quick.

Maybe Kendrick is the future, he got off to a great start.

I gotta agree with Tha Eastsidaz. Both albums are dope and the first one's a classic in my opinion.

King T got one of the tightest album discographies too
