This forum is dead because it's only focused on the played out LA Hip Hop scene.

However I'm sure the West is fine. The underground scene is alive and thriving with talent.
The mainstream scene took a hit (which was bound to happen anyway) but you still see some guys make it onto the charts.
Snoop's still got one of the biggest nation-wide followings for a rapper.
Tyga's everywhere.
Macklemore's album is moving units.
Kendrick Lamar's album is moving units.

Plus, there is always going to be a one-hit wonder who actually made it to the charts, only to disappear later like New Boyz, Cali Swag District and Kreayshawn.

I'm going to stay listening to west coast rap .... whether it's old or new... There's still plenty of music being put out by og west coast artist... I don'tcare if it's in the radio or not..   8)
