Word.  There's nothing in the Qu'ran against smoking.  Or in the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad for that matter.   In fact there were a lot of Sufi Tareeq's back in the day that used to use hash to illuminate their thikr (remembrence of Allah ciphers) sessions.  Was also very popular in Turkey in the early days of the Ottoman Empire.  Ibn Battuta reported it in his Rihla the people's love for the ganja coupled with their great devotion to Islam.

u should talk to the homie ash...some sheikh at his afghan mosque completely brainwashed him bout smokin weed. he's been smokin for 15 years daily and recently quit when he became religious through a traumatic occurrence. now, he smokes occasionally, but feels like he's sinnin every time he does so.
