Interesting mash up of a monster film and a vampire film in the future

Barfly (1987)

Really good film about a period in the life of writer Charles Bukowski who also wrote the script. Obviously Mickey Rourke was great in this although Bukowski wanted Sean Penn to portray him but for me Faye Dunaway stole the show in this.
