since he won't be playing again til November I figured we should make a thread to the 2nd best player in the NBA

I think both KD and Lebron will finish in the top 4 in scoring all time assuming they don't get any Ken Griffey Jr. esqe injuries

Second best, nah. He was exposed. Not sure who the second best is, but Durant has a little bit to go. He's close, but not there......... YET

well a healthy Rondo to me is the 2nd best because he can get a triple double any given night

but in reality if the NBA started all over again and had a draft next year my list would be:

Lebron
Durant
Rondo (if healthy)
Paul
Carmelo
Harden
Westbrook
Rose (if healthy)
Curry
Lillard

LeBron
CHRIS PAUL
Rose
Durant
Westbrook
Howard
Curry
Kobe (injury concerns me or he'd be higher. Only over 30 player I'd have for next year)
Rondo
Harden

yeah i'd def put Kobe in the top 5 if he weren't crippled right now.

also Howard would be on my list but he needs surgery too

i want the celtics to go after josh smith (since we are likely getting rid of Pierce and KG sadly) but if not then why not offer Howard a max contract? he'd be a beast with Rondo passing to him
