And he might have a point, believe it or not..... And Lin didn't make it through last season, he was actually injured on and off throughout the season and sat out in the playoffs.

Not really, it's just that people of that size just have issues.  I'm not talking about 7-footers, I'm talking about people well past that.  Look up any notable giant.  I remember watching some program on the tallest living guy, and his bones are all messed up and he can barely stand up perfectly straight.  I'm sure Manut Bol had some injuries too.
