James Taylor and Carol King appreciation thread...
« on: July 20, 2013, 01:36:47 PM »
I don't like any music pre 1980's.

But James Taylor and Carol King really blew me away when I saw them on PBS last November.   I'm going to be honest and say I shed a tear listening to the two of them at their reunion concert.  I got a copy of the concert and listened to it on my flight to europe and africa when I left later that month.   It was a euphoric experience.

"Going to Carolina"
"Far Away"
"Will You Love Me Tomarrow"
"Fire and Rain"
"You've Got A Friend"
"Blossom"
"Baby James"

.....there was 1 or 2 songs like "Country Road" and "I feel the earth move under my feet" that I didn't really get into but all the other songs from the concert were breathtaking.  Most of which are classics that everyone has heard but may not realize it.

I've never heard that one before, some of the best music came out before the 80s...
