he's got 8 more years left on his deal after this year so it's not like he's retiring anytime soon

yeah, at least the one A-rod signed in 2007/08 was when he was still in his prime for another 3 years or so

Pujols started declining noticably in like 2010/2011...you can't be on top forever.  he was basically the best player in the NL from 2001-2009 except for a few seasons by Barroid and that one insane year by Adian Beltre for the Dodgers.  and from 2006-2009 he was the best player in the majors except for A-rod in 2007.  that '07 by A-rod was one of the top 5 all around seasons in MLB history (cheating or not).  sadly he was juiced off his ass lol

poopholes will be an allstar again.  like you said, he aint going anywhere

look at zito, he signed a massive deal and only recently was worth any of that money
