According to Shady/Aftermath's official website, their offices have received several anonymous letters threatening the life of 50 Cent. At this point, the speculation leads back to his one-time gang affiliation. Before getting into the rap game, 50 allegedly ran with Bloods and started his career through their funding.

The site reports that the rumors are that 50 did not pay them back for their assistance, but Eminem did pay them off on 50's behalf. But now that 50 has been so successful with "Get Rich or Die Tryin," they want some more dough.

There is also speculation that 50 has a relationship with the girlfriend of Kareem "6 Bones" Mitchell, who has significant status in the Bloods. 50's security has been beefed up significantly and the NY Post reports that even 50's 6 year old son is wearing a custom-made bullet proof vest."
