Tha jap version is Ringu, you can see tha preview to it on tha DVD, it looks alright, just kinda low budget. But who needs crazy special effects in a horror movie.

Morrow, the reason it doesn't make sense is because there's so many plot holes in it, it's leaking, lol.
It's hard to make a movie like that though where the whole thing has a perfect explanation. Everybody that saw the tape had to SHOW it to someone else, not necessarily make a copy. The kid made a copy so they could mail it off to someone. They showed the whole tape at the end because it was supposed to mean, if you didn't show somebody else the movie,you'd die too, LOL so the only way to NOT DIE was to come back and see the movie with your friends, who would then have to bring their friends, etc. Novel, eh?
