NBA Report: Danny Granger Signs With The Los Angeles Clippers

Granger is a scrub now but CP3 will probably do wonders for this guy. All of Clips' swingmen have been getting injured anyways. Barnes has been good for them, but Redick and Crawford are out, and Dudley hasn't been fitting in at all.

oh shit!!!

if he can play a consistant 10-20 minute roll this could be the burst off the bench they need to advance in the playoffs.  health is the obvious factor.

I think the biggest question mark is how much he will commit to defense. He was never a good defender, something Clippers have always tried to emphasize with their choice of Small Forwards, but supposedly he started stepping his defense up when he was coming off the bench for Indiana.

His offense was pathetic when he came off the bench for Indiana, but like I said, anything can happen to your offense if you get to play next to Chris Paul.

Meh. Redick will start when he comes back. Crawford, Dudley and Barnes are big in that rotation.

But who knows. Maybe Doc will bump him over Dudley and Barnes.

I don't doubt Granger can be revived with CP3 at the point.

what? granger was actually a good defender in his prime... but I called this...knew he was goin to the clippers the moment sixers waived him.

he even has a chance to start for them, as he's now the best small forward on the team.

Redick has spent damn near half the season with various injuries though, and is injured again right now. And Crawford just got injured in the last game, so the Granger signing couldn't have been better timing. For now, they'll probably either start Darren Collison at the 2 (he played 2 against Houston) or move Dudley or Barnes down to the 2 and have Granger play the 3.

For a guy who gets as much playing time as he does, Dudley's production has been abysmal. He's still hitting 3's at a good percentage (subpar for Dudley, but good nonetheless), but he sucks at just about everything else. He's just having trouble fitting into the team. Granger is having a fucking horrible season this year as well, so I think it will pretty much boil down to who is going to show more defensive tenacity for the Clips.

That is true and I don't mean to take anything away from Granger in that statement, I just think the media is making a way bigger deal about how good the Clippers are going to be as a result of this signing than it realistically should be. Like I said before though, playing alongside Chris Paul alone should make Granger get back on the right track.
