Doc Rivers: "Lakers are the best franchise in the history of sports"

More than half of the teams make the Playoffs in the NBA. That is irrelevant. Look at Baseball, reality is that only 8 teams make the Post-Season. 3 Division winners and a wild card on each side. 16 in the NBA. Making the Playoffs in Baseball is much more of a feat than it is in the NBA. I can't think of the last time a team sub .500 in Baseball ever made the Playoffs.
Jerry West has been to 9 Finals, only winning 1. Does he have a higher success rate than Magic? Kobe? Kareem? No. He only has 1 ring.
In the NBA, nobody has beaten the Lakers in the Finals like the Celtics. In the NBA, nobody Owned a Decade like the Celtics did, outside of maybe the Bulls in the 90's.
In Baseball, nobody owns the Yankees. Nobody owned a time period like the Yankees.
Hence, why the Yankees are the most successful team in Sports history. They are unmatched.

lol do u realize ur using the exact same arguments I used against u for the laker-Celtic debate against me now? So if playoffs are more impressive in baseball because of that how are laker titles from a generation with double the amount of teams than there was in the 60s not more impressive than Celtic titles won in an era with way less teams and less competition? If it goes one way, it goes the other.
As for jerry west vs magic, of course magic has the higher success rate lol . And that's because magic has 5 rings.. But considering the lakers and celtics are neck and neck in titles, it's conference titles that separates them. Just like a player who's led his team to the playoffs would be considerered more successful than a player who's never been, but the ultimate goal is always the championship.
Now u goin back to sayin the Yankees are unmatched when we already proved lakers have the higher success rate smh

Oh, and you downplay Asia. Asia makes up for over 1/3 of the world's population. If a country plays Cricket (India with over 1.3 billion people) then they know American baseball. Trust me, I have lot of students who know about the Yankees over Lakers.
Plus, based off viewership, baseball is over basketball. This is global viewership.
