do anybody have that dj quik so Compton  instrumental or know how to erase kk vocals? because so compton is the best beat on book of david but kk ruined it. I rather just listen to the beat and hook.

With KK on it, although he isn't a great rapper lyrically, it sounded like vintage Quik from the Rhythm-alism days and I guess his simple rapping style only allowed for more emphasis on the beat.

A whole album worth of "so-comptons" would have made this album a classic

I think So Compton might just be the best beat Quik ever made. At the very least, it's in his top 5 beats, along with Let's Get Down, The Divorce Song, Somethin 4 The Mood, etc. I don't think KK ruined So Compton, but I would enjoy an instrumental version as well. What would be really nice would be if Quik released a solo version of himself over So Compton - with El Debarge or Jon B on the hook. Can you imagine how sick that would be? Quik needs to release more music. That nigga is too dope.

Really? Is that because of the lack of current good quality "music" tracks to compare it to?

It's good, it's classic, but just under Well and Whateva U Do in terms of musically best

Real talk. quik got a plethora of classic beats but whatever you do, well and so Compton are my favorite quik beats that he produced for his solo albums. I just cant believe quik didn't spit no verse on so Compton.

Well and Whateva U Do are definitely some of Quik's best beats.

I'd say Roger's Groove, The Divorce Song, Whateva U Do, So Compton, Jet Set, I Can Feel That, Don't U Hide It, Up N Da Club, Let's Get Down, and Quik's Groove III are Quik's 10 best smooth beats, arguably his best ten beats period. The list is a little eclectic, but the true Quik fans will feel me. In a month's time I'd probably change a song or two. Cuts like "Dip Da" probably deserve to make the list.

Also, if someone were to create or obtain a So Compton instrumental, it would be great to put a Quik acapella like the one from "Streetz is Callin" over it. Extremely dope results.
